Professor Kevin Gournay CBE - Consultant Editor
Professor Gournay is Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London, a chartered psychologist, chartered scientist and registered nurse. Professor Gournay has 30 years' clinical and research experience in the use of cognitive behavioural approaches in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including panic, phobias and obsessive compulsive disorders, and depression and schizophrenia. He has considerable experience in the treatment of trauma, and in treating people with physical illnesses such as cancer and heart disease for psychological problems.
In addition, Prof Gournay is an expert witness for the Law Society in post-traumatic stress disorder and standards of care, has contributed to hundreds of expert reports for courts, public inquiries and government select committees in England, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic, and is founding Patron and President of No Panic, the UK's largest self-help organisation for anxiety disorders. He has been elected to Fellowships of the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and the Royal College of Nursing, and was appointed CBE in the New Year Honours 1998/89.
Vicqui Stuart-Jones - Managing Editor
Vicqui Stuart-Jones graduated from Cambridge University in 2000 with a degree in Chinese studies. She has edited several business-to-business pharmaceutical titles and became Editor of the British Journal of Cardiac Nursing in September 2007.
Sam Gournay - Subeditor
Sam Gournay studied English Literature at the University of Sheffield, after which he completed an MA specialising in medical journalism. He has an interest in mental health and wellbeing, and has previously contributed to other healthcare publications. He joined MA Healthcare in 2010.
